Okay, so my amazingly talented friend JESSICA is an East Coast finalist in the Be Wicked! singing contest. She's got an incredible voice and deserves your vote, and all you have to do is go to www.wicked-week.com, register (it only takes a second!), and vote for her under "For the Wicked Fan Only". She's listed as "Jessica, 14, from Florida".
If you watch all the videos, you'll see that Jessica's the best one there. Please vote! Thank you!

ATTN: LEAD CRITICS
ATTENTION ALL SFC LEAD CRITICS
I am in DIRE
need of a team to switch assignments with mine. North Broward's assigned to see
The Comedy of Errors at Deerfield Beach High School on March 31st, and I am the only team member who will be able to attend (we're having a Thespian gala that evening). Mrs. Sessions won't switch our assignment to another show unless I can find a team willing to be assigned to Deerfield's show in our place.
If you can take our spot at Deerfield' show, I'll bring you a cookie of your choice at the next Cappies show. I'm not kidding; I need this assignment changed.
(x-posted everywhere I can think of)

Dear SFC Cappies...
Dear SFC Cappies,
I would like to let you all know that
(a) I do not have an editor at a major New York publishing house, although sometimes I wish I did and
(b) I do not have a code word that I place in all of my reviews so that the mentors know to pick mine. Boys and girls, that
would be cheating. Cheating is wrong. These are the lamest "Sarah is a cheater" rumors I've heard to date.
This is my third year being a Cappies critic, so I'd like to think that I know how to write a review by now. You don't need to cheat to get published- you just need to write well.
So to whoever started these very, very funny rumors, thanks for making my day (I needed a laugh) and please get some new material- better yet, don't. Cappies has enough drama to last a lifetime, and you don't need to be jealous and start rumors.

I was wondering if the e-mail regarding who was getting published for American Heritage's production of Macbeth was ever sent out. I didn't get one, but then again, Yahoo Mail has been really weird lately.
I hope everyone's okay after the hurricane!
♥ SarahScratch that, guys. The e-mail was just sent out. :) Current Mood: lazy

For anyone who goes to American Heritage, or anyone else who might know... how much are tickets for Macbeth
, and what are the dates and times for the performances?
...I had this written down somewhere, I'm sure, but I can't find it. I've resigned myself to asking. ^_^

My name is Laura Mays and I'm a Washington DC Cappies alumn.
I started being involved in Cappies in my junior year of high school when we did Kiss Me, Kate in 2002
(we won best set and I won best actress in a musical)
Then our high school didn't do a show my senior year. boo.
I also was a critic my junior and senior year. (I only got published for shows I didn't like. go fig)
Then I was invited to participate in Cappies National Theater '03. totally fun.
Then I went off to college at University of North Texas.
At the same time, my mom got really really involved in Cappies (Andy Mays)
Cappies has officially infected my life.
in a good way.
Although I graduated in '03, I still apreciate so much what Cappies does for high school students.
Keep it alive, y'all :o)

A desperate plea for help!
ARE THERE ANY CAPPIES TEAMS NOT ASSIGNED TO A SHOW THIS FRIDAY?
I need to speak to a Lead Critic as soon as humanly possible about switching assignments. My team is assigned to see Seussical
(American Heritage) this upcoming Friday, February 25th. It turns out that only two out of the six regular team members can attend, and regional critics won't count. My only option at this point is to BEG another Lead Critic to trade assignments with my team, North Broward. I'm sorry that it's so last-minute but this was an unexpected problem and I'M DESPERATE FOR HELP
. If you are a Cappies critic, please give me the email of your Lead Critic.
I'm cross-posting this in district_07
too, so I'm sorry if you get this more than once; I just need
to get this assignment switched.
*I guess I should note that I'm a part of the South Florida program. Current Mood: frustrated
